ABOUT ABOUT

Tarrywile Mansion, built in 1897, is a stunning brown shingled, white trimmed 23-room Victorian Mansion. It is a fine example of Victorian-era American home architecture and in 1987 was accepted and entered into the National Register of Historic Places.

Once a private residence, in the spring of 1990 the Mansion opened as a Community Center, where weddings, parties, business functions, service club meetings can be held.

With wedding season just around the corner and brides searching for the perfect venue we thought we would host several open houses in the coming months. We are hoping to give our prospective clients a chance to walk through the venue to get a better idea of our floor plan and what we have to offer. Our office staff will be available to answer all your questions or give you a personalized tour on how our venue would work for your special event.

Please see the Mansion Rental Page for more information on rentals.

We also encourage the public to come visit us and see an example of how life was in the late 19th and early 20th century. Our walls are full of the Mansion's history, the woodwork and architecture is remarkable. Visit the office and request informational packets, we will strive to answer any historic questions you might have.

This event is free to the public but donations are welcome to help defray the cost of the Mansion's maintenance. Please contact our office at 203-744-3130, if you would like more information or have any questions.
